Website

This website is static. It does not use analytics tools, advertising networks, external fonts, CDN resources, or cookies set by the website itself.

The website is hosted by Hetzner. When a website is requested, technically necessary server log data may be processed, such as IP address, timestamp, requested file, transferred data volume, referrer, browser identifier, and HTTP status. This processing supports delivery, security, and troubleshooting.

Vupi app

The macOS app is described as a local desktop app. The 1.x release does not require Accessibility or Screen Recording permission, accounts, or external AI integration.

Vupi stores local settings such as pet selection, automatic inactivity rest, night-rest schedule, launch-at-login state, automatic update checks, recent contact history, and morning greetings in macOS user defaults. Desktop visibility is session-only and resets to visible on launch. These values remain local to the device unless a later version explicitly documents otherwise.

Public builds can check the Vupi update feed at vupi.filiaes.de once per day by default and also allow a manual update check from the menu bar. These requests send technically necessary connection data to the web server. Automatic update checks can be disabled in Settings.
